The country president of Sodexo Ireland has been named among the Top 100 influential LGBT business leaders for the second consecutive year.

Sodexo’s Slattery named in LGBT Top 100 for second year

Margot Slattery is number 42 on the list compiled by Outstanding, a not-for-profit professional network for LGBT executives and their allies, and published in association with the Financial Times.

Margot drives awareness of sexual orientation across Sodexo’s international business, both as part of the company’s global LGB network leadership team and the global pride group.

Outside Sodexo Margot is on the board of the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network, a policy and strategy focused non-government organisation in Ireland looking to introduce a workplace charter on how lesbian, gay and bisexual diversity helps drive business excellence.

Last month Margot was named Senior Leader of the Year at the inaugural LGBT Workplace Equality Index Awards in Dublin. Earlier this year Margot made number 10 in the Out at Work and Telegraph Top 50 LGBT Executives.

Margot’s commercial acumen and passion for inclusion mean she is in demand as a public speaker and a regular feature in the Irish press for her work in this area.

Inga Beale, CEO of Lloyd’s of London, headlines this year’s Top 100 LGBT leaders, with Quantas CEO Alan Joyce second and HSBC CEO Antonio Simoes third.

Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg topped the list of Allies for his work to champion LGBT diversity.

Margot Slattery, country president of Sodexo Ireland, said: “I’m very honoured to again be included in an exceptionally heavy-hitting list of high-profile business leaders. People are at the heart of making a company successful so it’s essential there are visible role models to help create an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.”
