Within my team, specifically reporting to me are three people however the racing and stadium division holds 10 sites. Potentially there are 10 to 15 to 20 members at each site and I look after the financial figures, forecasting and the accounts for all those 10 sites.
I have had a great deal of development over the last eight years. Initially with on-the job training and, as I started to put myself forward and show my commitment to the company, a lot more training came my way. I had a year's worth of training on a program called Learning for Strategic Performance where I went out with a number of other individuals from within the various segments to do five or six training courses last year, which was fantastic. I've also been on project management training courses.
The most challenging thing that I have ever done was at Royal Ascot last year. Royal Ascot was opening a brand new facility and Sodexo Prestige was a part of that with the implementation of new controls and new members of staff into the team. It was a real challenge, the team pulled together. Lots of long hours, lots of hard work but we delivered a fantastic result at the end of it.
