| Through the Better Tomorrow Plan, we seek to address the sustainability issues that are material to our business, as identified through extensive continued consultation with stakeholders, and become global experts and strategic partners to our clients. |
The Better Tomorrow Plan is made up of three core pillars:
WE ARE: our Group fundamentals. Our philosophy, core values and ethical principles - the cornerstone of a responsible business
WE DO: our priorities and commitments to action. Following a process of stakeholder consultation, we have made 14 specific sustainability commitments across three priority areas
WE ENGAGE: dialogue and joint actions with our stakeholders. Our commitment to engage with our employees, clients, suppliers, customers and society
Together, these three pillars shape our commitment to leadership in sustainable development by helping our clients and customers enjoy a more sustainable and healthy way of life, maximising our social impact and minimising the environmental impact of our activities. This is the right thing to do and is a fundamental part of our daily business practice as we recognise that the issues which affect our clients, customers, employees, suppliers, the environment and other stakeholders also have an impact on the success of our business.
You can read our Better Tomorrow Plan leaflets, an overview of the plan or a more detailed version.
Our annual corporate citizenship report is now based on the structure of the Better Tomorrow Plan.
"The Better Tomorrow Plan is an extremely important initiative and the way
Sodexo has gone about engaging with people is excellent. The three pillars of the
plan are a very good architecture and the 14 commitments touch most of the bases."
