STOP Hunger

Poor nutrition remains a significant challenge in the UK and Ireland. As a company that serves over a million meals a day in these markets, we are well placed to help and believe that we have a responsibility to do so.

Launched in 1996, Sodexo's global STOP Hunger initiative aims to tackle hunger and malnutrition in the local communities where we operate. In the UK and Ireland, the Sodexo Foundation (a registered charity) is the driving force behind our STOP Hunger initiative.

Local community

We support charitable organisations that:

  • provide healthy food to those in need

  • promote healthy eating and healthy lifestyle education

  • deliver basic life skills education to those in need e.g. cooking on a budget, basic cooking skills, basic food hygiene and health and safety

We do this by engaging with our employees, customers, clients and suppliers to:

  • provide financial and in-kind support

  • share expertise

  • volunteer time
