Sodexo appoints a new HR director for Healthcare

Sodexo, a leading food and facilities management services provider, has appointed Bill Buchan to the role of human resources director for its UK and Ireland healthcare division.
Buchan will be responsible for delivering a human resources strategy which supports business growth and the
company's overall healthcare strategy. A key element of this is to ensure that Sodexo continues to recruit,
retain and develop talented people.
Buchan joins Sodexo from Hess Corporation, where he was responsible for global resourcing. Prior to this, he
held a number of senior HR positions in the UK and overseas with a range of blue-chip companies including
BG Group Plc, Abbey, Novar Plc and BAE Systems.
Buchan will act as a member of the Healthcare executive team, reporting operationally to managing director
Simon Scrivens. He will also join the UK and Ireland HR leadership team where he will report directly to
Natalie Bickford, HR director, UK and Ireland.
Buchan said: “I am delighted to be joining Sodexo and working with both my healthcare and HR colleagues in
order to help the business achieve its strategic objectives. I am particularly looking forward to working closely
with our managers to ensure our people are developed and motivated to deliver outstanding results to our
clients.”
Simon Scrivens, managing director, Sodexo Healthcare, said: “Bill's background across a number of industry
