HMP Bronzefield is the first PFI prison build specifically for women in the United Kingdom.
The prison focuses on providing needs-based services and programmes aimed at rehabilitating and maintaining the well-being of prisoners.
The offender population is complex and diverse, including: young offenders, Lifers and a Mother and Baby Unit.
This delivery is balanced by the provision of effective security procedures, necessary as Bronzefield holds up to ten of the country’s most high risk female offenders.
Peterborough is the first purpose-built prison in the UK to house both men and women on the same site. It also hosts the world’s first payment by results project for offenders.
Northumberland is only the second public sector prison ever to be transferred to a private sector operator in the UK. Sodexo’s vision for HMP Northumberland is to lead the way on the Government’s priority to create a working prison model.
Forest Bank demonstrates custodial excellence in many areas, but particularly in risk assessment, addressing comprehensive needs and forming strong links with the community.
