Working in partnership with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) since 1986, Sodexo provides a range of services from catering, retail and leisure services, clerical support and cleaning through to accommodation stores management, transport and security services to support British servicemen and women.

Understanding our customers

The stress of operations has a major impact on the servicemen and women we serve and their welfare is our primary concern. Our understanding of their needs means we can provide them with the best level of support and an environment in which they can work, live and relax. 

As well as providing a range of services, we also sponsor a number of military sports teams including the Army rugby union and boxing teams, the Royal Navy's hockey and netball teams and the RAF cricket association.

Serving the wider Defence community

In 25 years of working with the MoD, we have come to understand that the wider Defence community, including service families, plays an important role in the success of military operations. As such, the services we provide are designed to support the welfare of the wider community, as well as servicemen and women.

In addition, we are a “Corporate Friend” of the Soldiers', Sailors' and Airmen's Families Association (SSAFA Forces Help), the national charity that supports those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces. We are proud to support the SSAFA family 'home from homes' at both Headley Court and Selly Oak and the SSAFA Forces Help homelessness fund.

We also support other service welfare and charity organisations including the Royal Navy, Army and RAF Benevolent Funds, the Royal British Legion, Help for Heroes, Combat Stress and the Naval, Army and RAF Families Federations. There is also a Sodexo gift in the Christmas boxes that go to all service personnel deployed on operations every year.
