James Taylor has been announced as the new CEO of Sodexo’s UK and Ireland healthcare business.

Sodexo works at 100 NHS and private client sites in the healthcare sector, in addition to running the Tillery Valley Foods food production site in Wales and Home Service, a meals-on-wheels service in London and the South East.

Sodexo provides a wide range of services in hospitals designed to improve quality of life for patients, staff and visitors, including catering, portering, facilities management and clinical pathway management.

In his new role, James will be focused on ensuring that all Sodexo’s services continue to support deliver a positive patient experience, through engaged and empowered employees.

He joins Sodexo UK and Ireland from Sodexo USA, where he held a number of senior leadership roles, including president of the senior living business from 2008 to 2012, and president of the healthcare business in the south-eastern United States from 2012 until late 2015.

In these roles James worked extensively on the development and successful delivery of strategic and operational projects. His work resulted in the business consistently exceeding the expectations of its clients and patients and delivering the company’s best ever set of engagement scores.
