Sodexo UK has been given a Good Egg Award by Compassion in World Farming, a leading farm animal welfare charity.

The company, a leading on-site service solutions provider, received the award for serving free range eggs at all of its food serving UK offices.

Rodney Zeiler, head chef at Sodexo’s UK Head Office in London, was presented with the award at the Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards in London which were hosted by cook, food writer and broadcaster Valentine Warner.

Sodexo was also honoured for helping three of its major clients in the financial and pharmaceutical sectors secure Good Egg Awards for introducing policies this year to use only cage-free eggs for their staff catering.

Compassion in World Farming’s Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards recognise food companies that are committed to implementing substantial policy changes that result in positive impacts for farm animals. The Good Egg Award is given to those companies that are committing to using only cage-free eggs or egg products.
