Sodexo picked up eight trophies at the Stadium Experience and Hospitality Awards.

Sodexo teams from Hampden Park, Brighton & Hove Albion FC, Newcastle United FC and Everton FC all scooped accolades in the ceremony held at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium.

Hampden Park collected up two awards in the coveted Matchday Hospitality category, a silver for large stadia and bronze overall.

Scotland’s national stadium also took gold in the Conference & Events Sales & Marketing Award, with silver going to Brighton & Hove Albion FC. The Seagulls stadium took gold in the Media Choice Award and bronze in the Directors Choice Award too.

Judges chose the Sodexo team at Newcastle United FC as Operations Team of the Year.

Anna Carmichael, a teenage chef getting matchday hospitality experience with Sodexo’s Everton FC contract, was named Star of the Future.

Mentored by Sodexo executive chef at Everton FC Gareth Billington, Anna won the Springboard charity’s FutureChef competition last year, a national contest for chefs between 11 and 16.

Set up and run by the football and rugby clubs in the UK, Stadium Experience represents some of the best stadium event facilities in the UK football and rugby stadia.

Colin Perkins, Sodexo Sport, Leisure & Travel operations director, said, “It was a great night for Sodexo venues against stiff competition from around 56 football and rugby stadia across the UK. I would like to congratulate all the teams on a fantastic effort and some great awards - well deserved recognition for a job well done over the past 12 months.”
