Sodexo, a leading provider of on-site service solutions, has won a three year contract with the Anglia Support Partnership - a Cambridgeshire based NHS service responsible for the provision of NHS support services within the region.

The contract worth £1.5 million commenced last month and sees the on-site Sodexo team based at the Gloucester Centre in Orton Longueville, Peterborough, manage the logistics and courier service which is made up of 12 routes across 185 locations within the county of Cambridgeshire.

Managing the service involves routine and ad hoc transport of confidential information, medical records, pathology specimens, general mail, pharmacy supplies, sterile services equipment, laundry and meal trolleys. It also includes the management of taxi services. The new contract can be extended by a year towards the end of the initial three year term and sits with the existing cleaning and portering services provided by Sodexo.

Simon Scrivens, managing director for Sodexo Healthcare, said: “We are delighted with the new contract win in
Cambridgeshire. We will continue to work closely with the NHS organisations to ensure that the highest level of service excellence is delivered across our services. We look forward to new challenges and achievements.”
