Natalie Bickford, HR Director at Sodexo, a leading provider of on-site service solutions, was last night announced joint winner of the Equality & Inclusion Champion of the Year award at the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei) 2012 Awards, held at the Law Society, London.

The enei Awards celebrate the achievements of organisations that have taken a lead in challenging discrimination. This award, in particular, is aimed at equality and inclusion ambassadors who have made a significant contribution to improving the culture within their workplace.

Natalie was recognised for her wide-reaching achievements, which include establishing the Spirit of Inclusion training programme, launching the Women Work network group, helping Sodexo achieve significant improvements in employee engagement, improving the company’s maternity and paternity policies and her international involvement in the Sodexo Women’s International Forum for Talent.

On winning her award, Natalie said: “I was thrilled to win this award, it is an area that I am passionate about and to be recognised by enei is a fantastic achievement and one that I am proud of. My team at Sodexo has been fantastic in helping me to implement the various initiatives and we will continue to promote them throughout the organisation.”

The enei judges said, “Natalie’s passion for diversity and inclusion has resulted in a level of engagement that has genuinely changed attitudes and behaviours. The culture change has been considerable.”
