Trinity College Dublin appoints Sodexo as new catering partner

Sodexo has been awarded a contract worth €1 million a year from Trinity College Dublin, the highest ranked university in Ireland, according to the QS World University rankings for 2018.

With over 17,000 students, the university has a distinguished reputation for teaching and research excellence.

Geraldine Ruane, chief operating officer, Trinity College Dublin, said “Trinity is delighted to work with Sodexo as our new catering partner providing a new café concept on campus extending our food offerings to our students, staff and visitors.”

Sodexo’s contract includes a complete refurbishment of the Arts Building café, introducing a bespoke café concept – The Perch – which will refocus and refresh the space, putting in a new selection of new food offers and providing new seating to increase capacity.

Sodexo will aim to make the space work harder, so that it becomes a social hub for students on campus and will work closely with local suppliers to offer food that is fresh, tasty and ethically-sourced, whilst still competitively-priced.

Last year, NUI Galway awarded Sodexo its first Irish university catering contract when it was appointed to manage the 720-seater An Bhialann restaurant.
