Sodexo wins UCL Residences contract
Sodexo has extended its contract at UCL to provide catering to two of its student residences in central London.
This builds on a contract that Sodexo has had with UCL since 2014 to provide student and staff catering, food retail and hospitality at sites across the University’s Bloomsbury campus.
The residences are home to around 800 students and catering is provided to students on a meal plan basis. Sodexo has already invested in the new contract, creating a more modern, appealing environment in the residences’ dining halls and appointing head chefs for the sites.
Trinity Square Highly Commended
Student Living by Sodexo’s Trinity Square student accommodation at Trinity Square was highly commended in the ‘University Halls of Residence of the Year’ category at the Property Week Student Accommodation Awards ceremony in December.
Student Living team at Class of 2020
Our Student Living Team was delighted to be part of the Class of 2020 Conference in Lisbon.
The Conference brought together a diverse audience of delegates from universities, property firms, tech firms and start-ups to network, collaborate and debate the latest developments in global student accommodation.
European Divisional Director Steve Hawkins joined a panel to share Student Living by Sodexo’s insights on how to create successful Resi Living plans and Liz Davies, senior communications manager, gave a short presentation on the Sodexo International University Lifestyle Survey.
CUBO Winter Conference
Sodexo showcased its student living capabilities at the CUBO Winter conference in Wolverhampton at the end of November. Sodexo will also be present at the 2018 CUBO conferences in Manchester and Leeds and is proud be to sponsoring the Excellence in Student Sport Experience category in the 2018 CUBO awards.
Sodexo awarded Food Made Good Sustainability Rating at City University
Sodexo's catering team at City University have been awarded a Three Star Food Made Good rating by the Sustainable Restaurant Association, the highest possible rating.
This captures activity across three pillars of sustainability: sourcing, society and environment.
Coffee for good at UCL
Sodexo has teamed up with social enterprise Change Please, an innovative social enterprise which trains homeless people to become baristas, to run the coffee cart in UCL's main quad.
