Charlyann Dennehy and Robert Taylor of Sodexo’s Justice business have received Commendations at the 2023 Butler Trust Awards, held at St. James’s Palace in London and hosted by HRH The Princess Royal.
The Butler Trust Awards celebrate and promote the best in UK prisons, probation, and youth justice. This year the awards received 423 nominations from prisons and other justice settings nationwide.
Charlyann Dennehy, a senior prison custody officer at HMP/YOI Bronzefield, received a Commendation for her exceptional leadership of the prison's 15-bed ‘trauma-informed’ healthcare unit. Her work has been described as “second to none” by colleagues, and her nomination praised her ability to manage difficult situations with compassion and professionalism while ensuring the safety and well-being of both prisoners and staff. She has played a vital role in promoting a community feel and reducing social isolation among the unit's most vulnerable residents.
