MTS Health celebrates 25 years of trusted relationships and innovation

MTS Health, a Sodexo Health & Care company and a leading provider of clinical technology management services, is celebrating its 25th year of consistently delivering innovative solutions to healthcare providers, ensuring optimal patient care, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Founded in 1999, MTS Health has supported the NHS and private healthcare providers in planning and equipping large hospital projects alongside delivering maintenance and clinical engineering services in support of the NHS.
Acquired by Sodexo in 2021, MTS Health continues its legacy of excellence, maintaining independence from equipment suppliers while building strong industry relationships and is the market leader in equipment asset management, advisory and procurement.
MTS Health offers unparalleled expertise and has successfully planned and equipped over 40 major hospital redevelopments across the UK and internationally with a client list featuring Royal Marsden, Great Ormond Street, Moorfields Eye Hospital, Brighton 3Ts, Papworth and Barts Health; which at the time was the largest hospital in Europe with over 10,000 rooms to be equipped.
More recently MTS Health supported the NHS in its cost improvement programme, achieving savings procuring equipment for healthcare facilities across an integrated care system.

Highlights from its 25 years of operation includes:
- Compliance Assure, a bespoke product created by MTS Health to provide a 360 review of the management of medical equipment, compliance to Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards across a number of acute and community NHS Trusts.
- The delivery of service and maintenance to over 250 sites across London for one NHS Trust alone providing full compliance and visibility, transforming the way that medical devices are managed.
- Consistent focus on SMART maintenance; driving sustainable and efficient use of resources through a credible risk and reliability methodology for medical devices.
- Medical Device Maintenance delivered to a national patient at home provider.
- Created and invested in the Paul Austin Apprentice of the year award to recognise the importance of investing in apprentices across the clinical engineering industry to encourage more juniors and back to work employees into the industry.
- Working with the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, its design team and advisors from the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital on its cutting-edge clinical space which includes three new research institutes supporting the ambitions set out in the Government’s Life Sciences Strategy and the NHS Long Term Plan.
- Mobilised and equipped two major Covid-19 Nightingale Hospitals (2,000 beds in 10 days) with all the connected Medical Devices led by our lead clinical scientist team in London and Manchester.
MTS Health is a trusted partner to many NHS Trusts including Barts (25 years), West Herts (over 20 years), as well as the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, due to open in the Autumn of 2024 and a MTS Health client for multiple projects for over 10 years. MTS’s work with these clients has included inventory management, asset audit and detailed MES advice for the imaging portfolio of the Medical Equipment Asset base.
