Net Zero 2040 : Supporting our supply partners on their journeys to net zero
Our award-winning supplier engagement strategy is a key lever of our commitment to continue working to Net Zero 2040, following the science, meeting or exceeding the deadlines set on our roadmap to decarbonise our business.
The programme, launched in 2023, is built on partnership and mentoring to support our supply partners on their own journeys to Net Zero.
This is critical for our Net Zero ambitions as 99% of our emissions sit in scope 3 outside our direct control, 38% of which are in our supply chain – which includes more than 4,000 supply partners in UK&I.
Our net zero supplier roadmap lays out the milestones we and our supply partners need to hit between now and 2030.

“Over the last few months, I have gone from a fairly limited understanding of Net Zero to having scope 1,2 & 3 calculations from base year to present on a carbon measuring tool. We’ve also signed up to our first 100% renewable electricity tariff, which is key to making a significant reduction in our scope 2. We are now talking to our supply chain about their ongoing activities and emissions. We couldn't have done this without Sodexo's help."
