    Sustainable meals by WasteWatch 

    In 2023, we expanded the use of WasteWatch, our food waste measurement system, to include both hospital retail and patient dining, helping save over 59,000kg of food waste across 55 sites.

Sodexo prevented 4,000kg of food waste while maintaining 78% satisfaction rate with quality of food.

Sustainability 

WasteWatch helps us drive down spoilage rates while any food that isn’t consumed is pulped before being conversed to energy in an anaerobic digester.

We source and use local produce. If the food your patients need isn’t available locally, we plan sustainable food journeys via our DRIVE process.
