Social Impact

Adopting a needs-led approach to creating equity for all across our communities

Sodexo is an intrinsic part of many communities across the UK and Ireland. We recruit, source produce and engage locally in support of creating more vibrant communities. We recognise there is disparity across our communities and are fully committed to supporting the ‘levelling-up’ agenda; supporting individuals and businesses to overcome social and cultural challenges through skills development, social mobility and job creation, and fundraising and volunteering activity.

Social impact pathway: our places

Employing marginalised groups

We aim to increase employment levels of marginalised groups within our local communities and will introduce community-led recruitment drives targeting, for example, ex-offenders, young people, the long-term unemployed and people with disabilities.

Supporting the social mobility agenda

We will provide career coaching mentoring opportunities across the UK and Ireland for non-Sodexo employees. We have already started this work through our mentoring programme with Generation Success.
