Sodexo is one of a number of the out of home giants to unite with Footprint to form the Responsible Business Recovery Forum.

The Responsible Business Recovery Forum will promote peer to peer learning and industry collaboration as operators and supply chains grapple with a very different post-Covid-19 marketplace.

The Covid-19 crisis has been a litmus test for responsible, sustainable, ethically minded businesses. The way in which businesses have responded provide a baseline against which all future claims of corporate responsibility will be judged.

The Responsible Business Recovery Forum (RBRF) is a membership body of Out of Home food and drink operators and suppliers. The group’s objective is to collaborate to aid an efficient, industry-wide recovery, whilst anticipating future trends. It aims to be a community of progressive businesses learning and sharing for past, present and the future. Earlier this month Sodexo reaffirmed its five key sustainability commitments to work with employees, clients and suppliers for a more resilient and green economic recovery.

The company is accelerating its actions to make a positive impact on biodiversity preservation and climate change in conjunction with ‘rise with Sodexo’, its global programme to support organisations in their adaptation to the new normal.

Ana Svab, Corporate Responsibility manager at Sodexo UK & Ireland concludes:

“At Sodexo our sustainability roadmap is fully embedded into the way we do business. We invest time, money and effort into ensuring our teams are engaged and have the knowledge and tools to work with our clients, consumers and suppliers to help reduce the impact our operations have on the environment. While our priority right now is ensuring the safety of people, our commitment to sustainability remains at the forefront of the changes we are making and we will continue to do as much as we can to improve the quality of life of future generations.”

Sodexo’s commitment to a sustainable recovery supports the comprehensive range of essential and innovative services Sodexo developed under the previously announced ‘rise with Sodexo’
